Entrepreneur

I am a serial entrepreneur/intrapreneur. Not only did I start the world's first interactive ad agency and digital marketing firm (Einstein and Sandom Interactive — EASI) back in 1984, but I've started or re-launched the digital marketing businesses of two global ad agency networks, Ogilvy & Mather (WPP) and Rapp (Omnicom).

I am also a published author, with ten books under my belt. Writing a book, whether it's fiction or non-fiction, is like launching a new business. Each book requires seed money (a publisher's advance or other investment); research and production (planning, writing and developing the manuscript); manufacturing (designing and creating the book, in print and/or eBook form); distribution (either through a traditional publisher or directly via Amazon and other digital platforms); and marketing and sales (getting the word out via advertising, PR and other sales promotion techniques).

Today, I'm involved with a number of start-ups, either as a consultant or investor. My most recent investment is Mnemania, Inc., the parent company of MemoryBox.

MemoryBox is a free smartphone app (iOS only for now) and website that enables you to Capture, Curate, Appreciate and Share your digital memories ... forever. Everyone's photos from the same event in one place, from multiple devices, crowd-sourced and crowd-curated automatically.

The Offering:

  • Capture
    • Solo- or crowd-source media Elements (e.g. photos from a wedding, concert, holiday or sporting event) using multiple devices into one centralized digital Memory in the cloud automatically.
  • Curate
    • Edit your Memories and the media Elements within them, or crowd-curate them collectively with family and friends.
  • Appreciate
    • Create Shows of your Memories, stringing together your best media Elements into evocative presentations.
  • Share
    • Post your favorite Memories, Elements and Shows to Facebook, Twitter and Google+, or email them to family and friends.

MemoryBox—You are what you choose to remember.
